Both Editions are Wonderful
I actually own both versions of this book, and I'm very happy with them.
Excellent
Excellent translation, commentary and explanation of terms and concepts by Swami Nikhilananda. A must read for the whole family.
A book of books
A book of books. One that you start reading and propells you to the depths of your True Self to realize what has always been and dispell that which you are not. If beggining your journey, go first with Vedānta-sāra. You can compliment both with Swami Sarvapriyananda YouTube sessions on each.
Perfect for daily reading
Perfect pocket edition
Nikhilananda's translation of the Gita is one of my favorites and this pocket edition is absolutely perfect for travel and devotional reading. Highly recommended.
An important edition
The Bhagavad Gita
Sublime.
Quote from Lin Yutang
"An excellent, readable text to put in the hands of students of this basic work of Hindu philosophy and religion." -Lin Yutang (Inside Back Book Cover)
Bhagavad Gita Pocket Book
I think this is the perfect book. Not just in size and binding, but of the overall teachings, and its easy reading. Always an inspiration. I have gone thru two of these and will need to order a third here pretty quick as I keep giving them as gifts!
