Pradyut Kumar Ganguli, the compiler of this booklet, has taken various excerpts from the works of Swami Vivekananda and woven them together to form eight distinct essays. Thus, a particular essay may contain quotations form all eight volumes of The Complete Works and The Letters of Swami Vivekananda, but the essay reads as if it were written in one sitting. This interesting method thus points to the focus and single-mindedness of Swami Vivekananda in his life and teachings.
