Selected by a medieval ascetic named Vishnu Puri, the Bhakti Ratnavali is an anthology of verses from the Srimad Bhagavata which is considered the magnum opus on Bhakti and accepted as authoritative by all schools of Vaishnavism. Vishnu Puri has selected from this vast and amorphous literature four hundred and five verses from which the reader will get a clear outline of the doctrine of Bhakti, both in its theory and practice, as conceived by the great devotional text the Srimad Bhagavata.

A wonderful anthology
This is a beautifully done book. The introduction is a very clear and thorough introduction and overview of the Bhakti tradition in India and the different aspects of Bhakti. The text itself is clearly and simply translated.

Bhakti Ratnavali: or A Necklace of Devotional Gems - An Anthology From Srimad Bhagavata
Bhakti Ratnavali: or A Necklace of Devotional Gems - An Anthology From Srimad Bhagavata is perhaps as important to students of Bhakti Yoga as The Bhagavad Gita or The Chandi. Superb and delightful to read. Swami Sarvadevananda reviewed the book in his Hollywood, California class for many months, which lead me to purchase this book. His classes are available thru U Tube.
