Harmony of Religions from the Standpoint of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda

In a world of so much religious strife, it has become critical that humanity discover the essential truths of all religions if the peoples of the world are going to live peacefully with each other. In this paper given at a seminar called Exploring Harmony Among Religious Traditions in India in 2007, Swami Bhajanananda discusses the idea of the Harmony of religions as found in the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda.

According to Sri Ramakrishna:
A truly religious man should think that other religions are also paths leading to truth. We should always maintain an attitude of respect towards other religions. Remain always strong and steadfast in your own faith, but eschew all bigotry and intolerance.
