This series of 16 books is a collection of dialogues with M. as written down by Swami Nityatmananda, in the style of The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna.
You'll find information about Ramakrishna and his disciples that is unavailable anywhere else. It's an impressive collection of stories that will be of special interest to the Ramakrishna enthusiast. Unfortunately, the English is in places difficult to read because the translation is strongly "Indian-English." Furthermore, some of the books are printed on poor quality paper, slightly yellowed. But again, you'll find stories not available elsewhere.
A Rare View of M
I bought all 16 volumes, and am glad I did. So far I'm only eight chapters in. M's wisdom is golden, and we are fortunate to have his teachings to study. He is one of my favorite saints, and I number him among my gurus. As for the text itself, the language is rather archaic and repetitive, and I have no context for many names and places that are mentioned. I can live with this for the treasure of reading M's own words.
